Oat bread recipe

Today I bring you the recipe for a very simple homemade bread to make. You just need to mix the liquid and dry ingredients separately and then join them to finally bring the dough to the oven.

In this recipe for fitness oat bread, I have used kiwicha flour, which is a grain similar to quinoa that is abundant in the Andean countries and has many nutrients. But if you can't get it, don't worry, it's not an essential ingredient and you can substitute any other flour.

Ingredients to make oatmeal bread:

 165 grams of unprepared flour

 35 grams of kiwicha flour

 1½ teaspoons of Salt

 2 teaspoons baking powder

 ½ cup of Oat flakes

 45 grams of Butter melted

 2 Eggs

 100 grams of Honey

 80 millilitres of Water (⅓ cup)

How to make oatmeal bread:

In a bowl, sift the flours with the salt and the baking powder. Add the oats, reserving a little for later and stir. Reserve.

Kiwicha is a plant that grows in elevated areas of Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia and Argentina. From the plant, some grains similar to quinoa are obtained with which different foods and flour are prepared. Kiwicha is highly nutritious, as well as a natural source of protein and essential amino acids.

If you can't get kiwicha flour, you can replace it with quinoa, rice flour or whatever you like.

Apart from in another bowl, beat the butter together with the eggs, honey and water. We move until the ingredients are fully integrated.

Next, we join the dry and the liquids. To do this, add the flour to the bowl with the butter and stir well with a balloon whisk until there are no lumps.

Pour the preparation into a rectangular mould lined with parchment paper. Use any type of mould depending on the shape you want to give your oatmeal bread.

Smooth the surface and spread the reserved oats. Finally, cook in a preheated oven at 180 ° C for approximately 40 minutes or until a stick comes out clean when inserted.

Remove from the oven and let the oat bread cool to unmold.
